The "Parade of 1,000 Polleras" in Las Tablas, Panama is an annual event celebrating the traditional dress of Panama, the Pollera. The Las Tablas area is the center of production of the Pollera, each handmade, and no two are alike. The fabric of the dresses is handmade lace and traditionally, the head decorations were made of fish scales, today most are made of beads.
The photography included here was a joint effort by Larry & Cathy.
